Zygopetalum Fandango is a wonderful floriferous example of the genus and can form branched inflorescences reaching up to twenty flowers per inflorescence! Zygopetalum Kiwi Korker is also a wonderful hybrid that can bloom twice per year on strong inflorescences. The deep violet-colored lips with dark spotting on the green sepals and petals makes for a wonderful show. Generally, Zygopetalum don't do well in Florida as many hybrids use cooler growing species, but these have gone through two summers with us without missing a beat! These should flower twice per year and can get well over a half dozen flowers per inflorescence! Plants are flowering size in 3" pots and will probably need to be repotted into bigger pots soon. Light spotting may be present on the leaves when grown in warm conditions. These will also grow great indoors on a windowsill!
