Cattleya warscewiczii (syn. Cattleya gigas) is one of the most fantastic Cattleya species and is well-known for being the largest flowered Cattleya species in the world with its flowers reaching up to a foot across and being able to carry up to ten flowers per inflorescence on particularly floriferous cultivars! Even with a few flowers though, this species is an absolute show-off. These plants are the result of a selfing of C. warscewiczii 'Genesalq' AM/AOS and were treated with colchicine to induce polyploidy as well. We can't wait to see some fantastic results out of this group! Plants are near flowering size in 4" pots.
