Cattleya tigrina (KSCA 21118)
Cattleya tigrina ('Krull's Hallelujah' AM/AOS x 'Frank Smith' FCC/AOS)
We hope you're looking for some fantastic Cattleya tigrina genetics! This is a sibling cross of the only grex to ever receive an Award of Quality (AQ/AOS) for this species - on top of that, Cattleya tigrina 'Frank Smith' FCC/AOS is the highest ever awarded plant of the species, so we've got some absolutely top-notch genetics here! C. tigrina 'Krull's Hallelujah' AM/AOS has great sepals and petals and one of the broadest lips of all of our C. tigrina and boasted 24 flowers on one inflorescence when it was awarded! C. tigrina 'Frank Smith' FCC/AOS is nearly perfectly balanced and has some of the most striking spotting that makes this cultivar almost appear black in some spots. These plants should be great examples of the species and will have particularly dark spotting with some seedlings having enough spotting to appear nearly black. Don't miss the chance to get some great examples of this highly fragrant Brazilian species! Plants are well established in 3" pots. Thank you, Wes Newton, for the beautiful award photo!
