Phalaenopsis amabilis var. grandiflora is one of the most influential orchid species in all of cultivation and yet remains a rarity in collections. These gorgeous flowers are the ancestors of all large-flowered Phalaenopsis that you see in collections today! This species has a more common smaller flowered form, but these can grow to have flowers up to 4" wide! With flowers that last well over a month and up to a dozen flowers per inflorescence, this is a great opportunity to have this rare and elegant species in your collection.
