Cymbidium canaliculatum is a very showy species from Australia that is able to put out well over 100 flowers per inflorescence with a light fragrance. The sparkesii variety of this species gives us flowers that are a very deep burgundy or almost black with a beautiful white lip that can be blushed or spotted burgundy. These have been used in breeding to create heat-tolerant hybrids around the world and will grow well in the heat of South Florida as well as the cool temperatures of California. Plants are near flowering sized in 3" pots.
