Bulbophyllum quadrangulare is a gorgeous species from Papua New Guinea in section Polymeres - this species has a fascinating adaptation where the flowers close in the afternoon and open again every morning in order to protect the pollen from daily rains in the wild. These flowers can get a little over 2 inches and the bright white background contrasts perfectly with the burgundy stripes. Plants are flowering size in 3" pots.
