Cattleya Luminosa is the primary hybrid between Cattleya dowiana and Cattleya (Laelia) tenebrosa that was originally bred over a hundred years ago and was registered in 1901. Cattleya Luminosa is always a highly sought after hybrid that makes large, showy flowers with a large, deeply colored lip! These seedlings have been treated with Oryzalin to induce polyploidy to hopefully create larger, more intensely colored flowers with flatter, fuller form. Plants are well established in 3" pots.
