If you love spotted blues like we do, this new hybrid is going to be right up your alley! Cattleya Interglossa is famous for creating big displays of up to a dozen spotted coerulea flowers with a darker lip, and 'Purple Tower' BM/JOGA is a gorgeous example of a coerulea for the hybrid. Cattleya Elegans brings us a larger flower and showier lip from the Cattleya purpurata influence and the higher flower count and light spotting from the Cattleya tigrina influence. These could give some fantastic larger flowered spotted blues with over half a dozen flowers per inflorescence! Plants are well established in 3" pots and are treated to potentially induce polyploidy.
