Cattleya Mark Jones is a wonderful hybrid we bred back in the 1990s using Cattleya Fascelis 'Frank Smith' AM/AOS and a 4n mutation of Cattleya Caudebec 'Carmela'. It has gone to create over 100 F1 and F2 hybrids including hybrids like Rlc. Sun Spots and Cattleya Katherine Clarkson. Pictured is C. Mark Jones 'Razzle Dazzle' - one of our favorites from the original group of seedlings. This is a sib cross between 'SVO' HCC/AOS and 'Carmel' HCC/AOS. We have seen one of these bloom out with intense spotting like 'Razzle Dazzle' but expect many of these to come out in a range from pink to cream with deep burgundy spots of varying degrees on plants that can flower a couple of times per year. Plants are flowering size in 6" pots.
