This new hybrid between Catasetum gladiatorum and Catasetum semicirculatum is producing some fun results! We're looking at plants with high flower count, a really frilly lip, spots that can be almost black against a green or chartreuse background, and a nice fragrance. Most high flower count Catasetinae have pendulous inflorescences, so it is very interesting to see where breeding will go on these plants with their tall, arching inflorescences that will probably carry over thirty flowers each! Plants are flowering size in 3" pots.
